Job Summary Responsible for building and leading a team of DMD account specialists, launching approved products, creating and executing strategies, developing people, managing performance and driving results for NS Pharma approved products. The RBD will effectively analyze sales data to identify opportunities for business growth or areas of concern and is responsible for the management of sales, pre-launch activities, strategic business planning and implementation of approved products for their assigned region.

  • Utilizing knowledge and expertise of institutions, market access, and key customers to optimize national strategy and drive business results at the regional level
  • Participate in the formulation of National/Regional sales strategies, interpret strategies and execute the strategies within the geographic area
  • Establish and manage Regional expense budgets; ensure appropriate resource utilization and planning
  • Providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback and inspiration to build a high performing and engaged culture within the team
  • Ensure regional sales team operates in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance
  • Build and direct a team of DMD Account Specialists in the acquisition, expansion and retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area
  • Participate in the formulation of National/Regional sales strategies, interpret strategies and execute the strategies within the geographic area.

  • Ensure regional sales team operates in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance.
  • Inspire ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement within the entire team by regularly communicating the vision, business objectives, performance outcomes, and future action steps.
  • Identifying and seizing opportunities to build organizational efficiency and process improvements to positively impact business results.
  • Collaborates with peers and company personnel to develop strategies, build relationships and ensure corporate objectives and initiatives are achieved.
  • Develops, nurtures and maintains professional relationships with targeted KOLs including physicians, medical staff, and key center personnel.
  • Anticipates potential business challenges and takes a proactive self-directed approach to address such challenges.
  • Is flexible and nimble in their approach and is able to adjust priorities as needed to ensure the business needs of NS Pharma are met.
  • Maintains an exceptional level of proficiency in selling skills, clinical, market and product knowledge and the business environment of the region.
  • Acts as an ambassador on behalf of the company. Presents a professional image and represents the company, products and people with integrity and respect.
  • Completes tasks and projects assigned by the Head of Sales.
  • Ensures that all activities are in compliance with applicable regulations and Pharma guidelines.
  • Travel: 50%+, including overnight travel.
Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen, customer orientation
  • Experience in building and leading teams/team player, developing people
  • Demonstrated accountability, and shaped direction.
  • Solid knowledge and expertise of institutions, market access, and key customers to optimize national strategy and drive business results at the regional level.
  • Buy and Bill, hospital and institutional knowledge highly preferred.
  • Experience in rare disease, Orphan Drug preferred.
  • Experience in building sales teams and/or new product launch is desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness.
  • Superior communications and presentation skills with strong bottom-line orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and/
or Experience
  • BA/BS Degree required
  • Minimum of 7+ years pharma sales experience, 5+ years in sales management
  • Specialty Pharma, Rare Disease experience highly preferred.
  • Buy and Bill, hospital and institutional knowledge highly preferred
  • Experience in building sales teams and/or new product launch is desirable
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness
  • Superior communications and presentation skills with strong results orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license to drive to assigned healthcare accounts, unless otherwise specified
